Integrated Geophysical and Geotechnical Studies

C & C offers comprehensive integrated geophysical and geotechnical data collection, interpretation, and reporting.

Integrated Geophysical and Geotechnical StudiesResults from a geotechnical testing program are integrated with geophysical data to determine the lateral variation or homogeneity of measured soil properties within the foundation zone.  Logs for piston cores, vibracores, borings, cone penetrometer tests or other geotechnical  instruments are presented and correlated to the nearest seismic line profile to compare and contrast seismic character to the measured soil properties.

Geotechnical soil properties are correlated to acoustic seismic character and signature to establish soil units or divisions.  The soil unit divisions are used to determine the variations in deposition, seismic stratigraphy, and lithology across the investigation area.
