C & C Geomar Completes Pemex Multichannel Survey

C & C Geomar, located in Ciudad del Carmen, recently completed a large multichannel high-resolution seismic survey for Pemex Exploration Y Production.  The survey, located in the southern portion of the Gulf of Mexico, utilized surface navigation, multibeam bathymetry, a subbottom profiler, side scan sonar and a 24 channel multichannel seismic system to collected geophysical data in water depths ranging from 7 to 1700 meters.

The survey included 34 geophysical sites and nine corridors in an area over 987 square miles.  C & C's fully digital streamer system, which is permanently mobilized on the M/V Moana, uses cutting edge technology which differentiates it from other pseudo-digital multichannel systems in available in the Gulf of Mexico.  Jose Aguilar, C & C Geomar's General Manager, commented, “The data that we collected is fantastic. IMP, the supervising company for the project, was extremely satisfied with our field and office performance".

The M/V Moana Wave is presently performing additional high-resolution seismic surveys in the Gulf of Mexico.  Clients with prospective work in the region are encouraged to contact C & C in order to reserve survey days.  For more information, please contact Jay Northcutt at (+1) 337-261-0660, visit C & C's website at http://www.cctechnol.com, or send email to info@cctechnol.com.
